Pursuant to Section 111 of the Community Planning Act, Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the town of Hampton intends to hold a public hearing to consider amendments to its Municipal Plan and Zoning By-law on October 21, 2025, at 7pm in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 648 Main Street, Hampton.

The proposed amendments to the Municipal Plan consider changes to the Future Land Use Map and the Environmental Conservation Land Use Designation. The proposed amendments to the Zoning By-law consider changes to the Zoning Map to align the wetland buffer approach with the Government of New Brunswick’s direction on development within wetland buffers.

The draft amendments to the Municipal Plan and Zoning By-law can be viewed by clicking on the link below, by visiting Town Hall from Monday to Friday during regular business hours, or by contacting the Clerk’s Office at clerksoffice@hampton.ca or by calling 506-832-6065.

Written objections to the proposed amendments to the Municipal Plan and Zoning By-law will be accepted until October 17, 2025, and can be sent to the Director of Planning Engineering and Development at planning@hampton.ca, by mail at Hampton, P.O. Box 1066, 648 Main Street, Hampton, NB, E5N 8H1 or delivered in person to Town Hall, 648 Main Street, Hampton.
