Pursuant to Section 111 of the Community Planning Act, Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the town of Hampton intends to hold a Public Hearing to consider amendments to its Zoning By-law on November 12, 2025, at 7pm in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 648 Main Street, Hampton.

The amendments being considered, under the authority of the Community Planning Act, would amend:

  • the Supportive Housing use to improve the overall application process and increase regulatory control for Supportive Housing uses; and
  • Schedule A: Zoning Map to rezone a portion of PID 30150395 from Rural Residential (RR) zone to Rural (RU) zone.

The draft amendments to the Zoning By-law can be viewed by clicking on the link below, by visiting Town Hall from Monday to Friday during regular business hours, or by contacting the Clerk’s Office at clerksoffice@hampton.ca or by calling 506-832-6065. Questions regarding the proposed amendments can be directed to the Planning, Engineering & Development Department at planning@hampton.ca

Anyone wishing to offer an opinion on the proposed by-law amendments may do so in person at the Public Hearing or in writing by noon on November 7, 2025. Proposed Amendments to Zoning By-Law re Supportive Housing

Hampton Town Council intends to hold third and final reading for By-law No. HAM-2025-22: A By-law to Amend the Hampton Municipal Plan By-law No. HAM-2023-15, and By-law No. HAM-2025-23: A By-law to Amend the Hampton Zoning By-law No. HAM-2023-16 on Tuesday November 12th, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Town Hall, 2nd Floor Council Chambers, 648 Main Street, Hampton NB.
