Economic Development

Economic Development

Hampton is a community of entrepreneurs, where professional service firms thrive, manufacturers innovate, artisans share their craft worldwide, and local farms inspire new models of regional food.

To support this growth, Hampton established an Economic Development Committee (2000) and department (2007). Together with Council, Envision Saint John, and the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce—now 130 members strong—they foster a thriving business environment.

With affordable land, competitive tax rates, and a central location, Hampton offers businesses a strong advantage. From the new William Bell Business District to our historic town centre, Hampton provides easy access to regional, national, and international markets, all within a supportive, skilled, and connected community.
