Subdivisions in Hampton are administered in accordance with the Hampton Municipal Plan and Subdivision By‑Law. These policies regulate the division of land to ensure compliance and compatibility with surrounding land uses, while supporting Hampton's long‑term planning objectives.
Subdivisions are categorized into two types:
Subdivision – Type 1: A subdivision that does not create a new public street or municipal services.
Subdivision – Type 2: A subdivision that creates a new public street or other access, and may require the provision or extension of services.
Both subdivision types are reviewed to ensure compliance with municipal and provincial planning requirements and to promote safe, sustainable land use and development
