The Town of Hampton recognizes October 15th, 2026, as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day and October 2026 as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month in support of the awareness efforts led by Oak’s Tree of Love.
Pregnancy and infant loss affects thousands of Canadian families each year. For many, the grief is experienced quietly, making awareness and understanding especially important. By recognizing this day and month, we hope to encourage compassion, reduce the stigma surrounding pregnancy and infant loss, and remind those who are grieving that they are not alone.
We encourage residents to take a moment to learn more about pregnancy and infant loss, explore available support resources, and help foster a more understanding and compassionate community.
