The KWRC is hosting our 12th Beginner’s Fly Fishing Workshop on June 24th & 25th! Learn the basics and practice angling on the river.
This is a two-night event, from 6pm till 9pm on both nights. The first evening will be a classroom component at the E.J. Cunningham Memorial Fish Pond (owned by the Sussex Fish & Game Association) off Portage Vale Road. See the ‘Discussion’ tab for location details! The second evening we will practice at a river.
You must have a valid fishing license to participate. Those under the age of 16 don’t require a fishing license, but must be accompanied by an adult.
You’ll want to bring a pair of waders or rubber boots. Rods will be provided, but feel free to bring your own! A light supper will be provided on the 2nd evening.
The cost is $50 per person. To register, please fill out the form linked below, and e-transfer the $50 to ben.whalen@kennebecasisriver.org to secure your spot, as space is limited.
